Bro’s To Go

This new quick service breakfast spot opened up on 17th Ave at the end of 2022 and was brought to you by the brothers behind Bro’kin yolk, a beloved brunch spot with locations around the city. Bro’s To Go was born out of the idea that fast food and quality service should be a package deal, and this new 5th street eatery is proving that it can be. Their menu is comprised of burgers and sandwiches with a specialty in breakfast: many menu options come topped with eggs, house-cured bacon and smashed avocado. Pair these mouthwatering sandos with their selection of espresso-based drinks, and selection of sides (hello sriracha kale salad).

Pricket Richard

17th Ave is home to Calgary’s newest speakeasy cocktail bar, located in the underbelly of Comery Block and serving up creative cocktails and small plates – think oysters, tartare, prosciutto and more. Enter this intimate space through a steel door in the back alley off 6th Street and indulge in elevated sips such as their ‘Rainy Night in Soho,’ made with ginger and mint blanco infused tequila, fernet branca, ginger of the Indes, lime, simple syrup and angostura bitters. Need to impress a date? This is the spot to take them, open Tuesday through Sunday at 5 p.m.
