The Pint (1428 17th Ave SW) – Rooftop patio? Say no more! Launching their sunny patio this weekend, enjoy $13 buckets of freezies, $25 plates of hot dogs, $25 garage sale buckets and $25 buckets of vodka bombers and become part of the Pint Nation.
Tropical (1424 17th Ave SW) – With seating for 18, round up your party crew and head to Tropical for weekend hangover brunch or late night cocktails from this streetside patio.
1410 World Bier Haus (1410 17th Ave SW) – With two killer patios (one streetside, one rooftop), 1410 is the place to be. And happy hour just got happier with their 1/2 price appetizers, $5 local draught, highballs & 6 oz. glasses of red & white wine Monday through Friday from 3-6pm.
Morgan’s Pub (1324 17th Ave SW) – A little rock n’ roll will do ya! Make the most of your summer nights on the patio at Morgans Pub to the tunes of live music just about every night of the week. And during their weekly Saturday Jam from 4-7pm, sip on $4.75 bottled beer, $4.50 highballs and $5.25 draught.
Khao San Thai Kitchen (1314 17th Ave SW) – Spending some time on their private patio, perfect for catch ups or date night, while dining on authentic Thai cuisine will have you saying “kob koon krub” (thank you in Thai). Check out their lunch specials and dinner menu and make it a “must try” on your list of 17th Ave patios.
Home & Away (1331 17th Ave SW) – Add a little friendly competition to you patio sessions this summer at Home & Away. And during the week from 11am-6pm, enjoy 6 items, for $6 before 6pm and select drinks for $3 so grab a seat on their massive patio and enjoy some pints and pals.
Los Chilitos (1309 17th Ave SW) – One can’t help but stop to savor a Cerveza or two on Los Chilitos’ bright and inviting dual level patio. Complete with rainbow umbrellas and matching chairs, let the afternoon pass you by cantina style over $12 lunch specials and happy hour Monday to Friday from 3 – 6pm and 9pm til close.
Jamesons Irish Pub (1230 17th Ave SW) – Stop in for breakfast and stay for the beer! Sunshine and patio lights set the stage for patio hangs from morning til night and with breakfast served until 4pm daily and Reverse Happy Hour from 9pm – close Monday through Thursday, it’ll be easy to party like the Irish.
Thai Fusion Sushi (1137 17th Ave SW) – This shaded patio is perfect for those all you can eat sushi sessions. Get your fill with their weekly lunch special for $16.95 and dinner for $26.95
Las Canarias (1129 17th Ave SW) – Be transported and enjoy a little piece of Spain from Las Canarias’ multilevel patio with their life-size palms. Watchman’s Pub (1109 17th Ave SW) – Planters filled with summer blooms and lush green grass bordering the front, will make your patio session like a backyard hangout. Stop in during the week for $6.95 lunch and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am – 2pm for $9.95 eats.
Scrollio Rolled Ice Cream (1107 17th Ave SW) – Late night ice cream craving? Scrollio has you covered. Open until 12am daily, stop in for a hand rolled ice cream with all your favourite toppings and enjoy it on their bench seating tucked perfectly just steps away from their front door…..in case you want seconds.
Midori Japanese Cafe (1054 17th Ave SW) – Picnic table style seating awaits you at Midori with plenty of umbrellas to shade you while you chow down at this quaint sushi house. Check out their daily lunch special for only $12 and on Friday & Saturday enjoy their dining specials – domestic beer for $4, imports for $5 and large sake for $16 along with some nibblies, gyoza for $5 and takoyaki for $6.
Made by Marcus (1013 17th Ave SW) – Pull up a seat at one of the bistro tables on the patio at Made by Marcus, perfect for those summertime licks. Open from 11am to 10pm so you can show up early for your morning caffeine fix and come back later for a few scoops of your favourite flavour.
Cibo (1012 17th Ave SW) – Enjoy the planters filled with flowers and herbs in this secluded sunny patio. Dine on a lunch board weekdays for only $16, their famous $5 pizza happy hour from 3-5pm Monday – Saturday and for those night owls, check out their late night happy hour.

The Coup (924 17th Ave SW) – With their recent patio reno to seat 20 people, it’s the perfect sunny spot to meet with your pals. Check out their daily food and drink features for some healthy and ethical eats.
Esmé Beauty Bar (825 17th Ave SW) – While waiting for some pampering or needing a bit more time for your tootsies to dry, pull up a seat on Esmé’s beautiful patio surrounded by summer blooms. And with beauty specials every day of the week, you’ll find yourself perched here more than you thought.
Buon Giorno (823 17th Ave SW) – Capture some Italian charm and enjoy an authentic, laid back Italian meal on their quaint shaded patio. It’s just what the doctor ordered on those days that are a little too hot for the sun.
Browns Social House (880 16th Ave SW) – The perfect place to unwind after a days work or strolling the shops of 17th. Ollia Macarons & Tea (810C 16th Ave SW) – Complete with hot pink bistro tables, Ollia’s patio nestled in behind Tomkins Park is a great place to get away from it all. Stop in for a pick-me-up and choose something from their selection of housemade macarons and tea. Analog (740 17th Ave SW) – The always packed patio at Analog on a warm day invites you to want to sit and stay awhile. Sip their delicious Fratello coffee and indulge on pastries and sandwiches made by the beloved Corbeaux Bakehouse.
The Big Cheese (738 17th Ave SW) – Tucked away at the back of the Poutinerie is a hidden patio gem. Trolley 5 (728 17th Ave SW) – Feeling reminiscent of those Melrose patio days? Then Trolley 5 has you covered. Mix and mingle on their sunny street level patio, dine on food specials Monday to Friday like their $2.50 BBQ sliders on Tuesdays and sip on $4 in-house brews, wine and highballs during their happy hour daily from 3-6pm.
5S17 (634 17th Ave SW) – Add a Poké patio session to your list before summer is out on 5S17’s patio.
Blanco (723 17th Ave SW) – Whatever day of the week, Blanco is where it’s at! With prime people watching from their cantina-inspired patio and specials every day of the week, like their Margarita Mondays ($6 all day & night) and Taco Tuesdays (1/2 price all day & night), it’ll be easy to say “Uno mas”.
Market (718 17th Ave SW) – Soak up some summer on Market’s sun-drenched patio. Box planters line the border, giving it a private dining experience. Snack on $2 oysters on Wednesdays and don’t miss their $40 dinner for 2 platters accompanied by live music on Thursdays.
Starbucks (715 17th Ave SW) – Want a little action while you caffeinate? Starbucks is the perfect spot to take in the views on the Ave.
Fiore Cantina (638 17th Ave SW) – Add a little Italian to your summer with a stop at Fiore Cantina’s north side patio. Enjoy the energy of 17th Ave while dining on $10.99 pasta on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays.
5S17 (634a 17th Ave SW) – Just in time for summer, 5S17 added a cozy patio for you to enjoy their delicious poke and ramen bowls on. Open daily at 11:30am, stop in for some of Chef Satoru’s Japanese fusion cuisine.
Philosafy Coffee (632 17th Ave SW) – Savour the sun streetside with your favourite brew and take in the energy of 17th Ave. Open from 7am for early morning meetings til 11pm for late night chats and they’ve got water for your furry friends too.
Una Pizza & Wine (618 17th Ave SW) – Pizza, patio, and wine – a trio made in heaven right here on 17th Ave. Snag a spot on UNA’s sunny patio and get lost in thin crust pizza and wine heaven. In the giving mood? Order from their weekly MealShare features and they’ll donate a meal to a youth in need.
Waves (602 17th Ave SW & 1019 17th Ave SW) – Be it west or east, Waves has two perfect patios on the Ave. Want to do a little more people watching while caffeinating? Then head to their location on the corner of 6th Street. Something a little more tranquil your speed, head to their wraparound patio at their 9th Street location. Ricardo’s Hideaway (1530 5th Street SW) – Catch some island vibes on the comfy patio at Ricardo’s Hideaway. Set back a bit from the bustle of the Ave but not so much that you’ll miss out on the people watching. Catch up with your pals over rum cocktails and island-inspired food. Ox Bar de Tapas (528 17th Ave SW) – Everything old is new again and with a fresh coat of paint in a bright blue hue, the patio at the recently re-opened Ox Bar de Tapas is waiting for you. Buttermilk (330 17th Ave SW) – Take your waffle to the great urban outdoors and pull up a seat on one of their benches surrounded by beautiful flower pots. With the launch of their new waffle bowls, you can enjoy their waffles on the go.
Model Milk (308 17th Ave SW) – Looking for that perfect date night spot? The intimate patio at Model Milk is just the place and each Sunday until September, try their Sunday Supper – $40 supper and $5 Olympia and Elijah Craig.
