Myhre’s Deli

Located in the historic Brigden Block, which was built in 1912, Myhre’s Deli is home to the classic Montreal smoked meat sandwich. The deli’s gleaming wooden walls and booths were inspired by Wilensky’s, a Montreal landmark immortalized in Mordecai Richler’s novel, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz. The mahogany paneling found inside, was salvaged from The Palace of Eats, a vintage lunch counter that served Calgarians on Stephen Avenue from 1918 – 1964.
