New to the Ave: Blanco

IMG_6056
Tequila bottle lighting and Dos Equis on tap set the scene for Calgary’s newest in Mexican cuisine, Blanco Cantina (723 17th Ave S.W.). Blanco is the fun and easy going little sister to 4th street’s Añejo – a place where you can watch the game and enjoy a pint, frozen margarita or Red Bull slushy.

Serving lunch, dinner and their soon to be signature ‘hangover brunch’, Blanco will teach YYC that the only antidote to evening tequila is morning tequila. Choose from their 50/50 back bar – 50 rums and 50 tequilas to wash down their street-style open faced tacos or Mexican poutine. Promptly follow your first fiesta at Blanco with a siesta, and repeat.

Blanco Cantina officially opens Sunday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m. Until then, stay thirsty amigos.
