If steak frites, cassoulet and full-bodied red wines are kind of your thing, you’ll be pleased to discover a little slice of France has arrived on 17th avenue. Brought to us by Creative Restaurants Group – the same folks behind Calgary favourites like Bonterra, Posto and nearby Cibo – Parc Cafe & Brasserie (818 16th Ave S.W.) officially opened its doors yesterday and will be delighting us with authentic French cuisine and atmosphere for days to come.
Traditional Brasserie decor sets the stage: think black-and-white tiled floors, large mirrors and a portrait of the iconic French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg.
Nestled on 16th Avenue S.W., more warm weather promises lingering afternoons and coffees on the terrasse, where scenery will no doubt include people watching and of course, le parc.
