When it comes to enjoying the finer things, no one does it quite like les Français. From fashion to food and wine, they have a knack for making everyday details feel luxurious. Thankfully, there’s a new little piece of Paris for us to enjoy right here on the Ave.
If you haven’t stepped through the charming doors of Royale Brasserie (730 17 Ave S.W.) it’s time to stop by, like tout de suite. The newest fine-dining establishment to call 17th Ave home, Royale pays homage to the classic brasseries of France, humming with energy and a vibrant buzz. Known for their excellent destinations across the city, the Teatro Group felt 17th was the perfect spot to bring this sophisticated concept to life.
“Royale is a space that should make everyone feel welcome.” shares Shea Kerwood, who created the vision behind Royale’s brand. “We kept the integrity of French culture by developing pieces that showcased inspiring French icons, from Coco Chanel to Bridget Bardot. Every piece of artwork reflects the curiosities, eccentricities and the talent that make French food and French culture what it is.”
Whether you find your place at their expansive bar, or settle into an intimate booth, be sure to indulge in some classics. “Our house-made charcuterie is a true example of the skill of our chefs.” explains General Manager Carla Cole. And if you’ve come hungry? “Nothing notes a fine brasserie experience like the Côte de Boeuf for 2 people, with a healthy dose of béarnaise prepared with perfection by our chef.”
Stop by for their delicious half-price Moules Frites ($12) on Monday evenings and linger until the evening hours to enjoy their ‘Happier Hour’. Offered daily from 9pm until close, sip on $8 draught beer, cocktails & wine. And if you’re feeling adventurous, try a few varieties of Absinthe.
With inspired dishes that are made with refined techniques and the best ingredients, enjoy spirit of France in the heart of the Retail & Entertainment District at Royale Brasserie.
