Classical Music in the Park – Palladio Music Violinist Performance

As a part of Summer on 17th, brought to you by the 17th Ave Retail & Entertainment District BIA, join us every Sunday in Tomkins Park for classical music performances. On Sunday, July 31 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., enjoy a violin performance from Steven Klevsky and Manon Mitchell.

Steven (Slava) Klevsky was born in the City of Gomel, Belarus and started to learn music at the age of 6. At 18 Steven Klevsky immigrated to Canada and was able to continue his learning and passion at the Mount Royal College. At the same time he started his career as a music instructor, teaching piano, violin, classical and pop guitar and theory.

Manon Mitchell was born in Montreal, Québec, into a family of musicians. She began playing violin at 9 years old, performing in orchestra at age 12, and studying playing both clarinet and saxophone with the Sea Cadet bands by 13. Manon was the Director of Music at HMCS Quadra, a summer camp for Sea Cadets in Comox B.C. She was also one of the accompanying officers for the Tri-Forces Cadet band performing at the Youth Music Festival in Zurich in 1986. As an educator, Manon expanded the music program at Fern Hill School in Oakville, ON.
