One of 17th Ave’s newest residents, Uncommon by Leela, is now open, and is providing Calgarian’s a one-of-a-kind experience at Calgary’s First Beaty and Cocktail Bar.

Indulge in an Environmentally Conscious Spa Experience

Uncommon is a product of Leela, an Eco Spa and environmentally conscious organization that provides massages, esthetic services, acupuncture and osteopathy. This eco-friendly spa only uses products that are derived from natural, traditional methods, and are cruelty free.

Uncommon’s Spa Services

Pamper yourself with Uncommon’s numerous different spa services, including classic manicure, pedicures, facial and body treatments, brow tints and lifts, waxing and sugaring services, massage services and more.  Make it a date and bring your partner or fly solo and treat yourself to one of their packages. Enjoy Uncommon’s lavish pairings of services such as the Oasis package, where you begin your day with a facial, followed by an Eminence Organic Body Scrub, and finished with a manicure and pedicure.

Post Spa Day Cocktails

A day filled with pampering at Uncommon is not complete until you stop by their cocktail bar for a natural and organic beverage. If you prefer to limit your alcohol intake, Uncommon serves up The Sober Bartender, which is a botanically infused non-alcoholic “spirit.” Try it in 4 flavours including Gin Genie, Aperitivo, Dry Curaçao and Vermouth Amaro. Enjoy it with soda, juice, or mixed into one of your favourite cocktails.

Signature Cant-Miss Cocktails

Uncommon also has an extensive list of alcoholic cocktails with delightful options such as their signature Happiness Forgets cocktail. This lavish cocktail boasts an Indian Chai infused rum blend, pineapple and coriander seed syrup and lime juice served over a coconut ice cream ball, topped table side with champagne. I can’t picture a better way to end a day of treating yourself than savouring a beverage like this. They also have a wide selection of classic cocktails with a twist, such as their yogi mule, which comes with Tumeric and Lemongrass infused Organic Vodka, and house-made sugar free black pepper beer. This is a drink that you won’t feel guilt over when you order a second. Uncommon is also able to make a selection of their cocktails gluten free, for those with intolerances.

Uncommon Happy Hour

Stop by their 17th Ave patio for happy hour, which runs Tuesday through Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. and enjoy specials on their cocktail of the day, pints, organic red or white wine, and their wild berry sangria jug – perfect for sharing. Feeling hungry after a day of massages, body wraps and pedicures? They offer a selection of bar snacks, charcuterie and thin crust pizzas.
