YYC Poutine Week Round Up


Break out your bib and jump on the gravy train – YYC Poutine Week is back! Between April 21st – 29th, sink your teeth into mouthwatering cheesy goodness, all for a good cause. For every feature poutine sold during Poutine Week, Mealshare provides a meal to someone in need. Check out these participating restaurants on 17th Ave (a.k.a. the Gravy Mile) and dig in for those in need.

1410 World Bier Haus – Butter Chicken Poutine: haus frites, Quebec cheese curds, butter chicken sauce, sautéed chicken, chipotle yogurt.

5S17 – Build Your Own: Japanese fusion build your own poutine with choice of 2 sauces (wasabi teriyaki, togarashi teriyaki, Japanese bolanaise), 3 proteins (crispy pork, crispy chicken skin, crispy toru) and 2 cuts of fries (shoe string, Texas cut).

Blanco Cantina –  Blanco Poutine Burrito: shaved skirt steak, cheese curds, spicy Mexican gravy, house cut fries, coriander scented onions served with choice of side (Dirty Rice, Guacamole, Corn Bread, Fries, Refritos, Corn Salad, Coleslaw, House Salad).

Clive Burger – Palomino Pulled Pork Poutine: Kennebec fries, Palomino applewood pulled pork, crispy fried onions, Bourbon BBQ sauce, monterey jack cheese, demi.

Heaven Artisan GF Cuisine – Chorizo Poutine: yucas and potatoes mixed with Mexican chorizo, bacon, green onions.

Home and Away – Cheese Steak Poutine: slow braised Heritage Angus beef brisket, chili spiked red wine demi, white cheddar fondue, cheese curds, grainy dijon aioli, Broxburn bell peppers, fried pickled red onion and home cut Kennebec fries.

Jamesons Irish Pub – Canadian Corned Beef Poutine: crispy fries covered in beef gravy, fresh cheese curds, corned beef and dijon mustard, topped off with a delicious fried pickle.

Market – Dirty Bird Poutine: crispy golden fries, MARKET smoked bocconcini, duck confit, Last Best Black Lager gravy.

National 17th – Double Cheese Smoked Brisket Poutine: smoked CAB brisket, bourbon peppercorn sauce, curds, tots, smoked cheddar, black truffle mayo.

Roosevelt – Korean Beef Poutine: Korean beef, fried egg, gochujang gravy, mozzarella cheese curds, house cut fries.

Ship & Anchor Pub – Le Meaty Mediterranean Poutine: saffron fries topped with 6oz grilled sirloin, crumbled falafel, grilled pineapple, fresh mint, baba ganoush, sweet garlic sauce, feta, cheese curds and gravy.

Trolley 5 – Tots & Hops Poutine: house-made Kennebec Tater Tot with Conductor Lager beer battered cheese curds and gravy made from scratch peppercorn demi glace sauce, hops and seasoning.

Universe Restaurant – Smoked Meat Poutine: a mountain of fresh cut fries, garnished with Quebec’s famous cheese curds with homemade gravy. Topped with chopped authentic smoked meat and a fried pickle.

Anju – Poutine for Your Seoul: Korean smoked meat poutine made with Boiling Oar with kennebec fries, truffle gravy and cheese curds.

Mill St Brewery – Donair Poutine: house-made donair meat, crispy russet french fries with hop salt, cheese curds, house-made gravy with 100th Meridian beer, sweet donair sauce, topped with diced tomatoes and red onion.
