YYC Hot Chocolate Fest | Our 2024 Participants

“YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is an annual event hosted by Calgary Meals on Wheels. First started in 2011, this event is meant to highlight local businesses and Calgary’s vibrant culture, while also helping support a local charity. With more than 70 vendors participating every year, YYC Hot Chocolate Fest has grown to become a staple in countless Calgarians’ winter event calendars.”


Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate with Orange
Salted caramel hot chocolate with orange simple syrup and sea salt. Topped with salted caramel whipped cream, and a chocolate dehydrated orange.

Amato Gelato

Melted dark Dutch chocolate mixed with a generous helping of Dulce de Leche caramel, added pinch of Italian sea salt steamed with milk or your choice of oat or almond milk. Mountain of non-dairy whipping cream with a mini gelato cone topped with salted caramel gelato. Alcohol addition will be your choice of Forty Creek Cream di Rum, Kaluha or Frangellico for only an additional $3.00 Fantastico!!!

Enchanting berry notes of ruby chocolate are intertwined with the invigorating twist of our homemade mint-blueberry syrup, all kissed by a subtle warmth from white peppercorn & grey sea salt. Indulge in a journey of honey berry-infused whipped cream, a fragrant basil-infused white chocolate drizzle, and a magical sprinkle of edible gold glitter. With each sip, this hot chocolate becomes a flavourful adventure, allowing your imagination to run wild and creating a magical story.

Indulge in the euphoric symphony that is The Element of Euphoria, where the exquisite berry notes of ruby chocolate harmonize with a hint of subtle tartness from Establishment Brewing’s Jam Rock Beer* (1oz), all beautifully complemented by the zesty sweetness of our homemade blood orange and mixed berry syrup. To elevate the enchantment, savor the crescendo of a homemade Jam Rock Beer-infused whipped cream, a burst of vibrant mixed berry coulis, a fragrant pinch of blood orange zest, and a delectable garnish of edible purple & gold glitter. Each sip is a sensory journey and a celebration of flavors converging to create a euphoric experience that transcends the ordinary. * Contains Alcohol

Toasted Tahini Hot Chocolate
The Toasted Tahini has been designed with decadence, luxury and warmth in mind. We wanted to bring something unique and new to the table, while still capturing something that is familiar and cozy like a warm childhood memory.

Dark chocolate shavings, honey, cinnamon, tahini, honey dipped sesame snap cracker, chocolate sauce, coconut whip cream, and steamed milk of customer’s choosing!


Deville Coffee

Blueberry Peppermint Hot Chocolate
We knew beyond a doubt that we wanted to feature the intoxicating flavour of stewed blueberries in this years hot chocolate. Deville has chosen to pair our blueberry, vanilla and peppermint mix with an indulgent white chocolate to allow the acidity and sweetness of the berries come through.


The Coup

Ube-lievable White Hot Bliss
Inspired by our collaboration with our friends at Butter Block, We’ve found a way to turn our amazing ube cheesecake into an incredible hot chocolate! Featuring fresh melted white chocolate, carefully sourced ube flavour, and coconut whipped cream, this colorful hot chocolate is sure to blow you away. Not to mention, every hot chocolate is garnished with a house made ube cheesecake cake pop!

Ube Extract, white chocolate, oat milk, salt, sugar, vanilla.


Caffe Beano

Cinnamon Orange Hot Chocolate
We have added Parisienne cinnamon syrup to our classic Valrhona hot chocolate to give it a kiss of warm spice and then topped it with whipped cream scented with orange blossom. Then the whole beautiful thing is topped with candied orange.

Valrhona Hot Chocolate, Cinnamon Syrup, Orange Blossom, Whipped Cream and Candied Orange garnish.



Mexican Spiced Hot Chocolate
Abuelita chocolate, cinnamon, star anise, rosemary, arbol peppers, oat milk, coconut chantilly cream (habanero syrup, bourbon vanilla, coconut oil, coconut cream).


Black Sheep

Basil, Lemon and Mascarpone Whip
This year Black Sheep decided to play with two refreshing ingredients: fresh basil and lemon. They pair admirably with our creamy white chocolate. The drink is topped with a thick and creamy mascarpone whipped cream and a lemon sandwich cookie. 100% made in house of course! (even the mascarpone!)

Ollia Macarons & Tea

Salted Caramel Chocolat Chaud
Savour a Salted Caramel Chocolat Chaud by Ollia, a blend of premium cocoa, caramel syrup and fleur de sel from France. Topped with whipped cream and salted caramel sauce, this drink pays homage to our family’s Brittany heritage and where salted caramel originated. To elevate your hot chocolate experience, enjoy a complimentary petit bag of salted caramel popcorn!

Cocoa powder, Giffard Caramel Syrup, Milk (various options), Whipped Cream, Salted Caramel Sauce by Ollia, Fleur de sel.


Gringo Street

We passionately wanted to create a bridge between old pre-Hispanic Mayan chocolate flavors and the traditional hot chocolate that we are used to. This indulgent treat is a testament to our profound Mexican heritage, and our goal is to share bits and pieces of that flavor, putting a smile on every person that takes a sip of it. So, go ahead, ‘Treat Yourself’ to a mug of our hot chocolate

It’s a Hot Chocolate base topped with a touch of our famous house made cream (cloud). This drink would make you feel like you’re in the sky drinking sweet clouds, whether it’s mint or regular chocolate.
